Biografie[]
Amy Louise Acker wurde am 5. Dezember 1976 in Dallas, Texas, geboren und wuchs dort als Tochter eines Anwalts und einer Hausfrau auf. Sie studierte 14 Jahre lang Ballett und modernen Tanz. Während der Highschool unterzog sie sich einer Knieoperation, die ihre Ballettkarriere beendete. Acker machte 1995 ihren Abschluss an der Lake Highlands High School in Dallas. Anschließend erwarb sie 1999 einen Bachelor-Abschluss in Theaterwissenschaften an der Southern Methodist University.
In ihrem dritten Jahr am College modelte Acker für den Katalog von J. Crew. Im selben Jahr erhielt sie einen Bachelor of Fine Arts.
Am 25. April 2003 heiratete sie den Schauspieler James Carpinello in Kalifornien. Sie haben einen Sohn, Jackson James Carpinello, geboren 2005, und eine Tochter, Ava Grace Carpinello, geboren am 1. September 2006.
