El carisma de protagonista de Jeffrey Dean Morgan, su innegable encanto y versatilidad le han valido una variedad de prestigiosos largometrajes que han trabajado junto a varios actores y cineastas galardonados. Con un puñado de próximas películas de los principales estudios, Morgan ha captado la atención de Hollywood y se está estableciendo rápidamente como una estrella de cine emergente.
Nació en Seattle Washington de Sandy Thomas y Richard Dean Morgan. Asistió a la escuela secundaria Lake Washington en Kirkland, Washington, donde jugó al fútbol y fue capitán del equipo de baloncesto.
Morgan protagoniza la muy esperada película de Warner Bros. "Watchmen", la adaptación del escritor y director Zack Snyder (300 (2006)) de la icónica novela gráfica. Él juega el papel fundamental de The Comedian, un veterano de Vietnam que es miembro de un grupo de héroes llamado Watchmen.
Ha estado en una relación con la también actriz Hilarie Burton, quien interpretó a Lauren Boswell, desde el 2009. Tienen dos hijos juntos y se casaron en octubre del 2019.
