Biografía[]
Diggs es el mayor de tres hermanos y dos hermanas. Obtuvo una licenciatura en arte en teatro musical de la Universidad de Syracause. Su primer papel en Broadway fue como parte del musical Carousel. [ ¿fuente? ] Diggs se casó con su coprotagonista de Rent, Idina Menzel, después de 7 años de noviazgo. Tienen un hijo que nació en 2009. Se separaron en 2013 y se divorciaron al año siguiente.
