Late in season 19 of Grey’s Anatomy, Nick Marsh shocked Lucas Adams by telling him he needed to get his ADHD meds adjusted or risk losing his career before it really started. He assumed that Lucas had already been diagnosed and treated. Soon after, Nick sat down with Lucas and apologized for calling him out and learned that Lucas had never been diagnosed. Nick shared his own experience of struggling with ADHD before being diagnosed and treated and encouraged Lucas to get himself evaluated so that he could experience the same. Nick then shared more of his experience when Lucas struggled with losing a patient, telling him that with ADHD, he’d feel the losses more deeply, so he needed to give equal time to celebrate his wins.
