Allie Best is a patient who came into the ER after being injured while playing softball.
History[]
Allie was 29 weeks pregnant and playing softball at a family reunion with her husband's family, the Bests, when Charlotte Best threw a softball and broke Bo Best's nose. This caused some chaos and a few others were injured in the aftermath, including Allie and her husband, Billy. They all went to the ER, where the uninjured were sent to the waiting room while the injured were treated. Allie had back pain and numbness in her groin, so they ordered an MRI, which showed spinal disk herniation and cauda equina syndrome. She needed surgery, but in order to position her appropriately, they had to use a donut-shaped support to avoid putting pressure on her abdomen. During her surgery, the baby became unstable and they were forced to deliver. Billy was told the baby would need some time on a ventilator, but was otherwise healthy. Allie's surgery went well and she was expected to make a full recovery.
