Amethyst Vasquez is the daughter of Harmony Vasquez.

Amethyst's mother, Harmony, had a skull-base schwannoma, so she was in the hospital to have it removed. She was concerned about her personality changing after the surgery, but Amelia reassured her. She was taken into surgery, which went well. After surgery, her family was told she was recovering in the ICU, but she'd be okay.
