Notes and Trivia[]

  • His promotion to the main cast was announced on July 30, 2020.[1]
  • He auditioned twice for other roles on Grey's Anatomy before landing the role of Winston. The first role was a small part of an EMT interacting with Owen, the second was a guest star spot as the boyfriend of a woman with worms. He actually booked the guest star spot but the filming schedule was changed last-minute and was not available on the required dates.[2]
  • He stated his favorite scene with Kelly McCreary was the proposal scene in season 17.[2]
  • On his first day on set, he was running late as he was leaving the house and put on two different shoes, which earned him the nickname "Two-Shoes".[2]
  • He has trouble not breaking character when doing scenes with Scott Speedman, whom he finds hilarious.[2]
  • Out of all the previous cast members, he would love to have the opportunity to work with T.R. Knight.[2]
