Cassandra was having sex in the back seat of a car with Gillian Mendelson, with whom she was having an affair, when one of them accidentally released the parking break, sending them down the cliff and into Cassandra's car. They were both taken to the hospital, where Cassandra was treated for an injury to her knee and Gillian for a probable concussion as her head had hit the car window.
Cassandra's knee was swollen with blood, so they did a needle aspiration to drain the blood and then took her into surgery to repair her town meniscus. While she was being treated, Gillian's husband learned they were having an affair.
