Charlie Lowell is a soldier who came in with leg pain of unknown origin and wanted his leg amputated.
History[]
Charlie came into the hospital with idiopathic leg pain after a surgery. He'd tried everything to treat the pain, but nothing had worked. He decided he wanted Callie Torres to amputated his leg below the knee so that he could return to active duty. Callie initially refused because the leg was healthy, but after Charlie spoke to her, she agreed to do the surgery and she amputated his leg.

He said that he has nothing in common with the family he grew up with. The soldiers he works with in Iraq are his real family.

He is a lieutenant in the US Army. Steve Mason is his commanding officer.
