Chloe Yasuda is the youngest sister of Mika Yasuda.

Childhood[]
Chloe grew up the youngest of eight sisters. As a result, she often got dragged along to their events and had to watch as they did things she wasn't big enough to do yet. ("This One's for the Girls")
Cancer[]
Chloe was diagnosed with colorectal cancer. She called her sister, Mika, who had her come to Seattle to be seen at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. Richard informed her that the cancer was likely stage 3B, instead of 2A as was previously believed. He said Chloe would need chemotherapy and radiation. When he told her that the radiation could affect her fertility, she sat down with Jo to talk about options. Jo said that they could do an egg retrieval before she started treatment and that she'd likely need hormone replacement therapy afterward. Unwilling to have Chloe delay treatment and still have no guarantees, Mika began looking into other options. She found out that some doctors were using ovarian transposition, moving the ovaries higher in the abdominal cavity, out of range of radiation, while treating cervical cancer. They decided it could work with Chloe as well. She decided to have the surgery right away. Since Mika was unable to be in the OR with her, Jules came in and held her hand. Chloe woke up from the surgery asking for a donut. Mika encouraged her to go back to sleep, which she did. ("This One's for the Girls")
Chloe returned to the hospital to have chemotherapy. After her chemotherapy, Chloe went home with Mika. Mika fell asleep while driving, leading them to crash. ("Night Moves")
They were extracted and taken to the ER, where Chloe was diagnosed with multiple fractures to her legs due to them being crushed. They had to do bilateral fasciotomies in the ER, then did a CT. She had no injuries to her chest or abdomen, but her leg fractures were severe enough to require surgery. In surgery to do external fixation, she developed a vascular bleed. Teddy was able to stop the bleed and her surgery was completed. She was moved the ICU, where she later crashed and was unable to be resuscitated. ("If You Leave")
