Chyler Leigh played Lexie Grey from season three of Grey's Anatomy until the end of season eight. She also appeared in the season five Private Practice episode You Break My Heart.
Biography
Born in Charlotte, North Carolina and raised in Virginia Beach and Miami Beach, Chyler began her career in front of the camera at age 12 modeling for magazines and catalogues. Her success in print later led to national commercials for Coca Cola and Wendy's, among others. By age 16, she had already completed several pilots at the onset.
Chyler married Nathan West in July, 2002. The couple has 3 children.

Notes and Trivia
- The majority of Chyler's credits are for television programs.
- In 2013, Chyler Leigh completed filming the TV movie Window Wonderland. In this movie, she portrays a character named Sloan, which was the last name of her character's soulmate on Grey's Anatomy.
- Chyler Leigh was chosen to play Lexie Grey, because they needed someone who could physically be Meredith's sister, but still opposite to her mentally.
- Chyler decided to leave the show because of familial reasons. She and Shonda decided together that Lexie's exit should have a huge impact on the audience, resulting in Lexie's death following the plane crash.
- Chyler and her husband have an original way of choosing names for their children. They guess the sex of the baby and whoever gets it right, gets to choose the baby's name.
