Daniel Jiménez is a patient who came in from the prison and was diagnosed with cancer.
History[]
Daniel had had a persistent cough for a year and had developed back pain and stomach pain more recently. As he was in prison, he did not receive any treatment until they became concerned that he had tuberculosis. They sent him to Grey Sloan, where they did blood work and a chest x-ray. The chest x-ray did not show tuberculosis, but did show a large mass, so they did a CT. The CT showed mets on his liver, spine, pelvis and adrenal glands in addition to those in his lungs. They did an image-guided biopsy and the preliminary diagnosis was adenocarcinoma. They presented him with his options, but Daniel decided not to pursue any of them. He was sent back to the prison. Before he left, Mika brought him a slice of coffee cake, something he had told her he missed about his life before prison and the only good part of school for him.
