Danny Metcalf is a kid who came into the ER after a bus crash with a pencil imbedded in his eye socket.
History[]
Danny was on a tour of colleges when the bus he was on slid down an embankment. During the crash, a pencil became embedded in his eye socket. An MRI showed a brain bleed, so they took him into surgery.
On his way to surgery, he called his mother and told her he loved her, but the call got disconnected because his friend, Marissa's phone dropped the call.
In surgery, they tried to repair the bleed, but his brain swelled and they determined he'd be in a coma for the rest of his life.
