Simone's Wedding[]
Dewayne came to Simone on the day of her wedding and told her she took his breath away. When her dress ripped, he went to get a sewing kit. When the time came to walk her down the aisle, Simone paused and asked if her mother had been engaged before marrying Dewayne. He said she had been and met Dewayne two months before the wedding and called the wedding off. Simone then decided to call off the wedding and fled. ("Wedding Bell Blues")
Moving Joyce[]
When the time came for his mother-in-law, Joyce Ward, to move into assisted living, he and his daughters came to help her get settled in. ("She Used to Be Mine")
