Didi Collins is the sister of Barbara Collins.
History[]
Didi's sister, Barbara, was at the hospital with double vision and headaches. A CT revealed a tumor in the center of her brain, so she was having surgery to remove it, after which pathology would determine if it was benign or malignant. Didi and Paula had flown in from Boston to support her during her surgery and possible diagnosis. Each of them had had cancer and survived it. They had another sister, Carol, who also had cancer. She survived that, but died after falling off a ladder putting up Super Bowl decorations. Didi and Paula put her ashes in a box and carried it with them everywhere.
After her surgery, Barbara was told that the whole tumor had been removed and it was benign. Her sisters said she would get it next time, but Barbara told them that while she respected how they faced cancer and accepted it, she didn't want it herself. And she said they needed to stop carrying Carol's ashes around in a box. Paula admitted that she'd left Carol's ashes in Reno in 2007 and they'd actually been carrying around cat litter for 15 years.
Relationships[]
Familial[]
She has three sisters: Carol, Barbara, and Paula. Carol, Didi, and Paula all had and survived cancer, though Carol later died after falling off a ladder. They said that their mother was fertile for 40 years and Barbara was the youngest, indicating that one of her sisters is forty years older than she is. When they believed Barbara might have cancer, they came to the hospital to support her. After pathology determined it wasn't cancer, Barbara confessed to them that she didn't want to have cancer, even though she was left out of their cancer rituals. She also told them they needed to stop carrying around Carol's ashes with them. Paula confessed that it wasn't actually her ashes as she'd actually left them in Reno in 2007.
