Short Summary

Bailey and April work to fix things between Richard and Catherine. Meanwhile, Eliza continues to pursue Arizona, and one of Alex's previous patients returns to Grey Sloan.

  • She continues practicing as she gets ready for her day and drives to work.

  • The doctors remove the worms from Mary's abdomen.

  • Catherine and Richard pass in the hallway without speaking.
  • Arizona closes Veronica's incision.
  • Veronica says she loves Jeremy and never told him because they were friends.
  • She says it's ridiculous now.
  • Her breathing worsens as she says Jeremy's loved her through everything and he'll keep loving her after she's gone.
  • She asks Amelia to tell Jeremy not to look back because he's a dad now and has to be fearless.
  • Amelia asks her what she needs. She says she's cold, but doesn't want a blanket. She asks Amelia to hold her and Amelia holds her while she dies.
"Old Friends" Jasmine Thompson
    • Alex picks up the baby and hands him to Jeremy.
  • Arizona and Amelia watch from the hallway as he tells Jeremy that Veronica died.
  • Jeremy cries.
  • Richard gets ready to sleep and Catherine comes into the on-call room and admits she was wrong. He tells her about his patient full of worms.
  • She asks if he took pictures.
  • He gets them to show her.
  • Owen sees Amelia crying on the elevator and comforts her.
  • Meredith sees Maggie on the couch and tells her they're supposed to be going out.
  • She says she wants to go out with Maggie. She's sorry she hurt Maggie, but they're sisters and she's not losing her over a guy.
  • Maggie says she's still mad, but Meredith says that's okay.
