History[]
When Janell Barnett was suspected to have a tumor on one of her ovaries, Dr. Thompson scrubbed in with Bailey and Meredith to remove it. She objected to Meredith's reasoning for removing the right ovary, but was overruled by Meredith, who said that she couldn't trust a third year. Later, when they went to remove Janell's left ovary after the right one was shown to be clean, she objected again, saying that the left ovary might also be clean. However, she was again overruled and the ovary was removed and revealed to be the source of Janell's problem.

- Dr. Thompson does not wear pink scrubs normally assigned to doctors in the OB/GYN department, but rather wears blue surgical scrubs.
