Drew Farris is a the head of the fire union for the Seattle Fire Department.
History[]
Meeting with Ross[]
Captain Farris was meeting with Captain Wilson when Fire Chief Natasha Ross came in. She told them Michael Dixon was preparing to unleash a scandal on the department and explained that he had pictures of her with Robert Sullivan, a subordinate firefighter. She freely admitted that the two of them were in a relationship, but asked them to support her anyway, because she'd seen the fire union support firefighters for far worse crimes. She asked them not to play into Dixon's agenda by focusing on her relationship. ("What Are You Willing to Lose")
Firefighter's Ball[]
Farris went to the Firefighter's Ball, where he took the opportunity to talk to mayor-elect Robel Osman. To start the ball, Farris welcomed them and said he was honored to be their new union president.
Later, Farris helped them break through walls in the kitchen to find fire after Jack discovered smoke in there. Once they located and put out the fire in the walls, Farris went with Andy to find the source of the fire. While they searched, Andy asked Farris about being the head of the union and tried to talk up Ross, hoping to get his support for her. They found the source of the fire and determined they needed to shut off the power to the building. When the ceiling started to crumble, they rushed upstairs to evacuate the dance floor.
They were too late and the floor collapsed, sending many people into a hole in the floor. Farris helped get people out and tend to them. When Michael Dixon was trapped under some rubble, Farris helped free him. When he immediately coded, Farris looked at his pupils and said they were fixed and dilated. ("Glamorous Life")
Space Needle Fire[]
Farris was present at the fire at the Space Needle. He suggested using a relay to run water to the fire, despite the nearest hydrant being eight blocks away. Ross told him to go ahead. ("My Way")
