Edgar is the ex-fiancé of Mariana.
History[]
Edgar came to Elena Bailey Memorial Clinic for Reproductive Health with his fiancée, Mariana, who had severe cramps. She had a history of endometriosis, but said the pain she was in exceeded her normal pain with menstruation. Jo examined her and ran some tests, which showed that her endometriosis had infiltrated her bone. She brought in Link and they explained the condition to Mariana. Edgar proposed that they get married right there at the hospital, where they'd both been hospitalized as premature infants. Mariana hesitated and then was taken for surgery. After the surgery, Mariana told Jo that she'd been with Edgar her whole life, because their mothers were friends, and she was starting to worry that she only wanted him because she'd never experienced anything else. She decided to call off the wedding.

He was engaged to Mariana. Their mothers met and became best friends when Mariana and Edgar were both in the NICU. She ended the engagement when she realized she wasn't sure she wanted to be with him.
