Giacomo Gianniotti played Andrew DeLuca on Grey's Anatomy. His character also crossed over to seasons two and four of Station 19. He also directed an episode of Grey's Anatomy.

Biography[]

Giacomo was born in Rome, Italy in 1989.[1] At a young age, he and his family immigrated to Toronto, Canada and he was raised there.[2] He knew he wanted to be an actor at age 10.[source?]

He attended high school at Cardinal Carter Academy for the Arts in Toronto and attended Humber's College's theatre program. He has also completed an actor's residency at Norman Jewison's Canadian Film Centre, in Toronto.[3]

On April 28, 2019, he got married to Nichole Gustafson in Italy.[source?]

  • After his departure from the show, he got "22:50" tattooed on his wrist, the time of death of his character. Giacomo stated it is a symbol that all beautiful things must eventually come to an end but also a reminder that there is always still miles of beauty just around the corner.[4]
