Jeremy Benanti was a firefighter who assaulted Andy.
History[]
Jeremy was at Joe's when the firefighters of the newly-closed 23 came to drink and reminisce about 23. Maddox, who knew Jeremy, introduced him to the group. He briefly danced and flirted with Andy. When the other firefighters from 23 left after learning that Andy had spoken to Ross, which led to 23 being closed, Jeremy stayed and kept drinking with Andy. At the end of the night, when Andy went to go home, he kissed her and tried to get her to go home with him. When she refused, he turned cold and called her a bitch. He grabbed her, but she was able to fight him off, biting him on the hand and then hitting him in the throat. Then she ran away, leaving him struggling to breathe on the ground outside the bar. When Andy arrived at station 19, she sent Maya, Vic, and Sullivan to check on Jeremy. They found him unconscious and bleeding in the parking lot. He was in a tight space next to a car, so they flipped him over, put him in a c-collar, then dragged him out to where they had more space. They attempted intubation, but there was too much blood, so Maya did a cricothyrotomy to get an airway. Beckett arrived and said they shouldn't be treating him and went to call backup. He flatlined, so they started compressions. When they mentioned needing to move him, Beckett said to wait for 88, which was two minutes away. They detected a pulse and defied Beckett's orders to stay there and loaded him onto a gurney and into the aid car. At the hospital, they handed him off in the ER. Teddy later informed them that despite their best efforts, Jeremy had died. ("When the Party's Over")
