Jim Neely is one of two brothers who got trapped inside an unstable house while renovating.
History[]
Jim and his brother, Gabe, inherited their mother's house when she died. Jim wanted to sell it, but Gabe wanted to renovate it. They fought persistently over the issue, angering their neighbor, who ended up calling 9-1-1 when she saw smoking coming from the house. Firefighters arrived to find no fire, but Jim and Gabe fighting. Gabe had a sledgehammer he was using to break through walls. While they argued, Gabe continued swinging the sledgehammer, which led to him breaking a window, sending shards of glass into their neighbor's eye. Jack and Vic learned the house had an unstable foundation and said they needed to evacuate, but Jim and Gabe refused. Gabe's continued strikes cracked the wall and sent a sink from the floor above through the ceiling, where it hit Jim in the face, knocking him down. While the firefighters worked to stabilize the house and buy them more time, Vic assessed Jim and determined that his collarbone was broken. Gabe still tried to continue the renovations and walked to the other side of the room, where the floor gave out, trapping him between the floors and knocking him out. Vic used webbing to hold him up so he wouldn't fall to the ground if the floor gave out, then they stabilized the floor and got Gabe out. Outside, Jim worried about Gabe's injuries and told him that renovating the house wouldn't bring their mom back. Jim then went to the hospital in the aid car with Gabe.
