Joshua Hill is the birth brother Jack didn't know he had.
History[]
At some point, Joshua submitted his DNA to an ancestry website. When Jack had his DNA tested in preparation for donating his sperm to help Maya and Carina conceive a child, they learned they were full siblings. Jack contacted Joshua and arranged to come to his house to meet him. When Jack and Andy arrived, Joshua led them around the house to the backyard, where he offered refreshments. Jack realized that Joshua had had a much different childhood from his own and said he was glad Joshua was adopted into a good family. Joshua then admitted that he wasn't adopted. Their parents raised him. Their mother had gotten pregnant with Jack in high school and they placed him for adoption because they weren't in the position to care for him and wanted him to have a better life. Joshua said that when Jack reached out to him, he and his sisters confronted their parents about it and learned the whole story. Jack was further disturbed by the knowledge that there were four of them total. Jack became upset and Andy helped him leave.

He was raised with three sisters. His father was a school superintendent and his mom a teacher. When he was an adult, he found out that he had an older brother his parents had placed for adoption when they were in high school. As an adult, he's married with two children, one named Laura, and his wife is pregnant with a third. His wife and children took up baking during the pandemic and kept at it.
