Julie Jacobson is the mother of Nicholas Jacobson.
History[]
Julie and her husband, John, came to the ER on Thanksgiving Eve with their son, Nicholas, after his nose wouldn't stop bleeding. He was diagnosed with an AVM and taken in for surgery. However, they weren't able to do a permanent fix in surgery and had to look for other options.
The doctors started developing a tool to allow them to fix his AVM through his nose, but it wasn't ready by Christmas and another nosebleed meant that he had to be admitted to the hospital for blood transfusions.
On New Year's Eve, he went into hypovolemic shock because of the blood loss and just as Arizona Robbins was about to intubate him, Derek Shepherd came in and announced that the instrument was ready. They took Nicholas into surgery, where the removed the AVM. After his surgery, Nicholas's parents stood by his bedside in relief.
