History[]
Kelly had a condition that caused her to blush heavily every time she was embarrassed. She hated it because it made it impossible to hide her feelings, including the fact that she had a crush on her surgeon, Derek Shepherd. Because of this, she decided to have a procedure to stop the blushing despite the risks of the surgery.
After surgery, Kelly woke up and was delighted not to feel herself blushing when Derek's name was said.
