Kitty Dixon is the wife of Michael Dixon and mother of Emmett Dixon.
History[]
Michael's Birthday Dinner[]
Kitty's son, Emmett, and his boyfriend, Travis, came to her home when it was her husband's birthday to have dinner. Things were tense at the dinner because of Travis and her husband's mutual dislike. Despite this, Kitty tried to keep things light and happy, trying to distract them all when the conversation turned to more tense subjects. However, at dinner, things came to a head when Kitty revealed that Michael was planning to run for mayor and his first order of business if elected was to shut down Crisis One. This caused a fight between him and Travis. After the fight, Kitty and Emmett went outside to talk. When Travis came outside, Kitty left the two of them to talk and during this discussion, the two of them broke up. ("Alone in the Dark")
Husband's Mayoral Run[]
With the race for mayor under way, Kitty attended events with her husband. One of these events was for the Northeast Seattle Homeowner's Association. During this event, Kitty mostly walked around drinking. When a tornado siren rang out, Travis directed everyone to go inside. Once inside, he confirmed there was a tornado approaching and told everyone to get low and stay low. Kitty huddled with her husband and Travis as the tornado passed. Once the wind died down, Travis told everyone to stay down while he went outside to check on things. Travis discovered a woman trapped in a car nearby, Hallie, and the crowd watched while he got Hallie out of the car and onto a table to stabilize her. ("Twist and Shout")
Crisis One Call[]
Kitty and her husband got into a fight, resulting in one of their neighbors calling Crisis One. Maya and Ben arrived to find Kitty there alone, as Dixon had left. Maya talked to Kitty, believing that Dixon had been abusing her, only to have Kitty brush off her concerns. Kitty talked about how awful her husband was, but denied any abuse on his part. When Dixon arrived home, the two of them fought and threw things, resulting in Dixon being injured. Despite this, they both said they were fine and Ben, Maya, and Clarke left. ("Dancing With Our Hands Tied")
Election Day[]
On Election Day, Kitty joked with her husband, which resulted in her ballot being spoiled. The two of them went to the staton, her to get a new ballot and him to make sure things were running fairly. While they were there, she saw Ben and recognized him, but thought they'd gone to high school together. ("All These Things That I've Done")
Firefighter's Ball[]
Kitty, as president of the Ladies' Auxiliary Committee, threw the Firefighter's Ball. She attended the ball with her husband as her guest. When she noticed Ben and Bailey looking at the Tuscan vacation she wanted, she tried to dissuade them from bidding on it.
Later, Kitty learned that there was something wrong with the ovens in the kitchen, so she asked Jack to come look at them. While the firefighters addressed the issue in the kitchen, the awards ceremony for Ben was delayed. When Bailey decided to go on stage and present his award herself, Kitty tried to stop her, but quickly backed down. Later, she announced that the kitchen incident was under control, but there was no main course because of it, meaning they only had dessert to eat.
Kitty went to her husband and told him they'd been outbid on the vacation, so he told her he'd bid more. Before he could, the dance floor collapsed and Dixon fell into the resulting hole. Kitty watched in horror as the firefighters moved rubble to reveal that Dixon had been crushed under cement. She watched as they treated him and started crying when he died. ("Glamorous Life")
Funeral Planning[]
With her husband dead, Kitty began planning a funeral with a funeral director. When Travis Montgomery brought over food from his mother, she invited him in and told him to have some of the food. ("This Woman's Work")
At the wake, Kitty continued to treat Travis as if he were there to serve her, even having him move furniture after everyone had left. As Travis went to leave himself, Kitty adjusted his tie, something she said she used to do for her husband. Then she started to cry and assured Travis that she knew he'd done everything he could and that her husband truly loved him.. ("Good Grief")
