Levi and Taryn's Loft

AlexJoLoft — Jo shows Alex the loft space.

Levi and Taryn's Loft is the loft where Taryn Helm currently lives. It was originally purchased by Jo Wilson and inhabited by her and her ex-husband Alex Karev until he left her. Jo lived in the loft with Levi but moved into a penthouse when she adopted Luna Wilson.

History[]

Jo grew tired of Alex's open-door policy he had for his house, wanting more privacy for the two of them. Meredith wanting to move back in was the last straw. She took everything she had and it was almost enough to cover the whole loft, which was still a fixer-upper at the time. She asked Alex to pitch in for the offer she put in, so they could make into anything they wanted. Initially, Alex was hesitant because it looked more like a crime scene than a loft space, but his love for Jo convinced him and they bought it.^[1]

When Alex left Jo to get back together with his ex-wife, Izzie Stevens, Jo has a hard time living by herself and later invites Levi Schmitt to come live with her after his break up with Nico Kim.^[2] In order to adopt Luna, Jo sold her shares of the hospital to afford an expensive attorney. With the rest of the money, she bought Jackson's penthouse and moved in there with Luna.^[3] Levi and Taryn continue to live there together.
