Liz Monroe is the mother of Beth Monroe.
History[]
Liz came into the hospital with her daughter so she could participate in a clinical trial for her brain tumor. She was upset when she found out that her daughter's boyfriend was also in the trial. When the boyfriend, Jeremy West, died, Beth's parents wanted to take her home, but she insisted on having the surgery. ("Freedom, Part 1")
Beth's surgery was successful and she was the first trial patient to survive. ("Freedom, Part 2")
