Margaret Chen is a woman who pretended to have amnesia to get taken to the hospital.
History[]
Margaret's son, Jason, had seizures starting when he was born. In order to get him all his medicines, she stole money from her company because her insurance wouldn't cover it. She was planning to pay it back, but she got caught before she could. She was arrested, but her son got his medical care. On the day she was supposed to be sentenced, she instead fled and hit herself on her head so she could feign amnesia. When a park ranger found her, firefighters were called to the scene. They checked her out and then took her to Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. As her son was at Seattle Presbyterian Hospital, she fled Grey Sloan and went to Seattle Pres instead. Andy, Dean, and Maya recognized her and got her to sit with them. After they learned she was a fugitive, Andy demanded the full story. Margaret explained about her son and said his surgery was that day and he was worried he'd die and not get to see her again. She asked them if she could have a few minutes to see him before his surgery and then she'd go with the police. They talked to Ryan and convinced him to take her into the hospital, where she said goodbye to her son. Once he was taken to surgery, she held out her arms so he could arrest her.
