Margaret Goodwin is an award-winning attending general surgeon and program director working at Brigham and Women's Hospital.
History[]
Dr. Goodwin was one of the program directors wooing Meredith Grey to join her general surgery program at Brigham and Women's Hospital after Meredith completes her residency.
During the Holly Wheeler case, Dr. Goodwin was very understanding when Meredith canceled her interview three times to tend to Holly. After Holly was discharged from Seattle Grace Mercy West Hospital, Dr. Goodwin met with Meredith and interviewed her for an attending position.

In 1996, she was awarded a Harper Avery for excellence and innovation in surgery.
