I am an admin at the General Hospital wiki and I have recently been admiring your infoboxes as I have been struggling a bit to update the site to the new non-portable infoboxes in my community. If you don't mind, could you share how you were able to customize the color in your infobox by using themes? I noticed there was one for "attending," one for "nurses," etc.. I will of course credit you guys in anyway you want for the help and template. We are looking to create three themes, one for contract players, one for recurring players and one for past players no longer on the show. Our current infobox setup has red for contract, blue for recurring and grey for past.
I've searched the current documentation that Wikia has on how to do this, but frankly none of it has worked when I tried or made much sense. Thank you.
Though I must say, you can apply to adopt the original Italian wiki, giving you admin rights, which should be no problem if there's no active community. That wiki should have the same namespace as ours so that might be better for continuity and collaboration.
An exception could be if we know from casting news or something similar that a character is going to appear for sure so we can make sure that the article is complete with previously revealed information when the character does finally appear, but then one of the admins will deal with that. We've also have some exceptions like Kathleen Shepherd, whose page was around for years, for characters we strongly suspect will appear and have been talked about regularly, but that's also rare and for individual cases. In Danielle's case, we don't expect her to appear and there's not really enough information to really warrant her own page since having it on Bailey's and her parents' pages suffices.
So general rule: no pages for mentioned-only characters indeed. If you think any such character does need a page, feel free to bring it up with me or Nerdfightergirl and we'll discuss it. :)
It looks like Stefania Spampinato will be in S16 as she is in the table read picture- I'd add it in myself but the season page is locked so I just wanted to let you know so you can add it in if need be
Hey Tooniee, if you haven't read the latest Community Central blog post, we'd like to inform you that Fandom has their very own Discord server! Feel free to join and check it out if you'd like. The vanity url is https://discord.gg/Fandom.
How are you? This is Chen and I'm a Community Manager from Fandom. We’ve got great news from Fandom about your community! ABC is partnering with Fandom to make Grey's Anatomy Universe Wiki an Official Wiki Community. This means that ABC is officially endorsing the wiki as the best place to find encyclopedic info about the show. We have a lot of official gaming wiki communities, but Grey's Anatomy Universe Wiki is one of the first four Official Wiki Communities for television.
This won’t change anything about how you run your wiki - the community will always be in charge, ABC and Fandom aren’t here to take over. That’s a reflection of the hard work you and other editors have put into the wiki, so congratulations on that!
We’d love to partner with you moving forward. We have some ideas for what we can do next to get this new Official Wiki status on the wiki, and here are a few things we are thinking to team up with you for this partnership:
Collaboration with Fandom on a brand new, upgraded home page design.
Official Wiki Community badging -- Fandom’s version of the verified checkmark, like on Twitter. We’ll add this to the wordmark.
General enhancements to select wiki article pages.
ABC will promote Grey's Anatomy Universe Wiki! - So exciting!
Exclusive content and early access to content from ABC on your community.
Unique opportunities to engage with ABC content for community admins and editors - more on this later!
Do you have any questions? Let me know. And we will have a wiki manager Marcus here shortly to fully support this wiki in the future! :)
