Monica is a woman who drove herself to the station after hitting a deer with her car.
History[]
Monica was driving when she hit a deer. The deer went through her windshield and its antlers impaled her in the abdomen. She drove herself to station 19, hitting several more things along the way. When she arrived, Vic and Diane immediately rushed to her aid. They also called Carina to help them and Carina told Monica she was lucky to have such amazing people there to help her, but Monica didn't feel lucky. She said this was why she didn't want to learn to drive. She was older when she did, so she was more aware of all the dangers. They were able to pry the door of her car open and told Monica it would be safer to leave the antlers in and cut them to free her. She told them she grew up in New York and loved the city, but she fell in love with a man and then he sold his startup and wanted to move home to Seattle. She moved with him because she was in love. They were able to cut the antlers after having to pause when the deer spasmed. Once Monica was free, they loaded her onto a gurney. She told them she was done with this being her life. She decided she needed to return to the city and wasn't sure if her husband would be part of that return. They loaded her into an aid car and she was taken to the hospital.
