Nancy is a woman who came to the station in labor.
History[]
Nancy and her husband, Wayne, were expecting a baby, so they went to the fire station to have a car seat installed. Ben installed it for them. A few days later, they went on a walk to relieve some cramping she was having. While they were walking, she went into labor, so they stopped at the station for help. Carina and Ben helped her inside the building and then out to the barn, but the aid car was still out, so they laid Nancy on the floor of the barn. Carina examined her and determined that the baby was in a breech position. Despite this, Carina was able to coach her through labor. While she gave birth, Wayne collapsed due to cardiac arrest. While Ben tended to him, Carina kept Nancy focused on her labor. She gave birth soon afterward, then delivered the placenta. There was some bleeding, so Carina did fundal massage, which was successful in stopping the bleeding.
Ben, Andy, and Dean did CPR at the station and then loaded him in the ambulance. Ben stayed behind to help Carina with Nancy while Andy and Dean took Wayne to the hospital. At the hospital, a nurse told them there weren't any beds, forcing them to continue CPR in the aid car while they waited for a bed to become available. They finally got a pulse back just as a bed became available. Dean accompanied Wayne inside to the cath lab while Andy returned to the station. Later, Dean came back to the station and told Nancy that Wayne was stable as they loaded her into the aid car to take her to the hospital.
