Nora Young is a childhood friend of Megan Hunt who came to the hospital after a surgical complication.
History[]
Nora had a Nissen fundoplication at another hospital. When her esophagus was perforated after surgery, they tried to repair it, but it failed. At that point, Megan Hunt, Nora's childhood friend, suggested she go to Grey Sloan Memorial, so Teddy could treat her. Nora did so and, after coughing up a liter of blood, she had surgery to repair her esophagus and the fistula that had formed between it and her aorta. ("Take Me to Church")
Nora returned to the hospital for a follow-up, but her appointment was cancelled. When she went to leave, her car wouldn't start, so she had to wait several hours for a tow. When Owen found her still waiting, he offered her a ride home. She admitted to him that when she told her ex-husband what had happened, he swooped in to whisk the kids away for the weekend, so Nora either had to interrupt their fun vacation or go a few days without seeing them.
