Norma Douglas is a patient who came into the hospital with swelling in her knee.
History[]
Norma came into the ER with swelling in her knee. Her friend, Maxine Anderson, believed she needed a knee replacement. Norma also told the doctors that Maxine had pain with urination. Both of them were diagnosed with gonorrhea. Norma's had settled in her knee, causing gonococcal arthritis. The doctors told them they needed to call their sexual partners and let them know they needed to get tested. They were shocked when they both called Hal Stillman. When Hal arrived, they confronted him over sleeping with both of them without telling them. When the doctors told him he needed to call his sexual partners as well, he listed off several more names. Norma came back to the hospital when Maxine was discharged from the ICU following a UTI and sepsis. She and Lois got Maxine's room ready and brought her some things from home. When Maxine fell in the bathroom of her new room and injured her head, she told Norma and Lois she wasn't up for visitors and they should go back home. ("Ready to Run")
