Ofelia Lopez is a patient who was injured when she fell off a moving tractor.
History[]
Ofelia was on a moving tractor when she fell off, injuring her left leg and her head. She was taking to Friday Harbor Hospital, but they lacked the necessary resources to treat her, so they contacted Grey Sloan, who sent Lucas Adams and Levi Schmitt in a helicopter to pick her up and bring her back. Her parents were worried, but allowed the doctors to take her and took off for Seattle in a car. On the way back, they hit turbulence due to a storm, which led to the tourniquet on Ofelia's leg breaking. Hoping to avoid amputation, Levi used IV tubing to create a stent, allowing her to get blood to her leg without dying of blood loss. Ofelia's parents were worried when they got to the hospital before the helicopter. This was because the helicopter was forced to make an emergency landing and transfer Ofelia to a ground ambulance. When she got to the hospital, she was taken into surgery. After her surgery, her parents were told she'd probably need another surgery and some physical therapy, but they'd managed to save her leg and she'd make a full recovery. After some time in the hospital, Ofelia was discharged to rehab. When she left, she gave Levi a picture she'd drawn of him fixing her leg in the helicopter so he'd never forget. ("Night Moves")
