Officer Schneider is a police officer who responded when Robert Corson reported people in his front yard.

History[]

Officer Schneider and his partner, Officer Wicklund, came to the house of Bob Corson after Bob called to report trespassers on his property, namely Joyce Williams and several off-duty firefighters. Joyce had been on his front lawn for some time because she had tracked her daughter's fitness watch to his house and believed he'd kidnapped her and her friend and was holding them in his house. When Wicklund and Schneider arrived on the scene, Joyce and the firefighters believed they were responding to the calls for help, but they quickly made it clear they were responding to Bob's calls, not theirs, which had gone ignored. They refused to help Joyce, believing she just couldn't keep track of her kid. Dean pretended to smell a gas leak in order to get access to the house, but Bob still refused to let them in. However, they heard glass breaking and discovered a basement window had been blown out by fire. Sullivan and Dean went inside and retrieved the girls while Bob was arrested, though he continued to claim he was innocent.

Schneider stood by the ambulance while Shanice was treated before being sent to the hospital. When she admitted that she and Jada had started the fire to lure rescue, he then went to Jada and tried to question her after Wicklund had already asked her insensitively what had happened in the basement. When Bob claimed the girls had broken into his house and started a fire, Schneider seemed to believe this to be true and implied that girls like Jada and Shanice lie all the time. When he said this, Joyce lunged at him, though Maya grabbed her by the waist and pulled her back before she made contact. Despite this, Joyce was arrested for assaulting a police officer. When Dean tried to stop this arrest, he was tackled to the ground and arrested himself. Andy jumped in to try to stop Dean's arrest and was shoved to the ground. Sullivan saw this happen and shoved the cop who shoved Andy, which led to him also being arrested at gunpoint. Joyce, Dean, and Sullivan were then put into cop cars and taken away. His partner, Wicklund, reported him for his actions and he was suspended pending an investigation. ("Learning to Fly")
