Oscar Schmitt is a man who was diagnosed with prostate cancer after a pain in his pelvis.
History[]
After Charlotte and Cooper gave a presentation on safer sex as a retirement home, Oscar came to Cooper, saying he was embarrassed to talk about it, but he'd been with his girlfriend, Nora for several months. Their sex life had been good, but he had a pain in his pelvis, which made it hard for him to get in the mood. Cooper recommended that he make an appointment with Charlotte to get a full exam.
Charlotte did an exam and diagnosed prostate cancer. She recommended radiation therapy, but when he found out he had a 50% chance of impotence after surgery, he decided against it.
Charlotte sent Cooper to talk to Oscar and got Oscar to agree to have treatment, telling him that even if they couldn't have sex, Nora still loved him.
He and Nora then came into the practice to talk about options for after radiation.
