Owen and Cristina's Wedding is the wedding between Owen Hunt and Cristina Yang.
Timeline[]
In the aftermath of the hospital shooting, Cristina struggled with PTSD. One day, when Owen came home from work, Cristina noted that he was late. He promised her he wasn't going anywhere and pulled out a ring to propose to her. She said yes and they began planning a wedding.
They decided to have the wedding at Meredith's House and Cristina was insistent that she wouldn't be wearing white or a veil. Owen asked Derek to be his best man, as he felt that Derek being married to the other "twisted sister" made them kind of like brothers.
While in a session with Andrew Perkins, the trauma counselor the hospital brought in, Cristina chose to talk about her wedding instead of the shooting. She said that the people in the pictures in her wedding magazines were so happy because their lives were so simple. And she wanted to be simple, because no one holds a gun to the head of a simple girl.
Despite Derek being arrested and unable to attend, the ceremony went forward and Owen and Cristina were married.
