Patricia had a brain tumor. When she was diagnosed, she started calling her tumor Wilma after the woman her husband was having an affair with. The tumor finally convinced her to leave her husband. She came to the hospital to have it removed. They did pre-op labs and shaved her head in preparation for the surgery.

She was married for over 30 years to a preacher. He had an affair, but she stayed because she worried about him losing his congregation if they found out. She eventually left him when her tumor was diagnosed and she realized she needed to start looking out for herself, to be brave.
