Paul Adelstein played Cooper Freedman in Private Practice. His character also appeared in season three of Grey's Anatomy. He also directed two episodes of Private Practice.
Biography[]
Paul was born to a Reform Jewish family.[1] Prior to his professional acting career, Adelstein attended the progressive Francis W. Parker School, then Bowdoin College where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa and summa cum laude with a degree in English.[2]
He is the lead singer and guitarist of the band "Doris."[3] He began his career in theater, working with New Crime Productions, a company founded by John Cusack, and later with the Steppenwolf Theatre Company.[source?]
Paul Adelstein got engaged to Liza Weil in May 2006 and they married that November.[4] They have one child together. In March 2016 after 10 years of marriage, Weil filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences.[5]
