History[]
Paula was working as a construction worker when she accidentally got shot in the arm with a nail. Knowing her company could fire her if she filed a workers' compensation suit, she decided to try to remove the nail herself. Dominic Amaya and Theo Ruiz found her before she could get it out and took her to station 19, hoping they could remove it without taking her to the hospital as ultrasound showed it has missed major arteries.
Ben numbed her arm and used ultrasound to guide his removal of the nail. Once it was out, he stitched her up and then Dominic and Theo took her back to work. She said she was going to mail the nail to her ex-wife without a note.
