The Phoenix Fair is a street fair that took place in Seattle in mid-2021 to celebrate the city coming back to life after the COVID-19 Pandemic.

To celebrate the city of Seattle coming back to life after the pandemic, the city threw a four-day fair, which included a parade, an undies bike race to promote body positivity and safe riding, as well as several other events. The firefighters of Seattle Fire Department were on hand for this event, handing out waters and providing first aid to injured attendees.
Emmett wanted to participate in the undies bike race, but chickened out when he arrived and put his bicycle shorts back on.
Brad DiMarco attended the fair with his friends Tara Brown, Will, Bella, and Mac. They'd been drinking and using mushrooms and began setting off fireworks. When some of the firefighters approached them and told them to stop, they witnessed Brad ignoring their instructions and lighting another firework, which exploded right in his face, seriously injuring his cheek. They immediately stepped in and held pressure on his wound while they waited for an aid car to arrive. Meanwhile, his friends panicked and Will, in a misguided attempt to help Brad, climbed into station 19's engine and started driving it away. He was stopped when he drove into an intersection and was t-boned by a delivery van, tipping the engine on its side and trapping him inside. This accident stopped traffic in all directions, forcing Ben to abandon the aid car and walk the gurney to the park. They then loaded Brad onto it and walked him to the hospital, led by Emmett on his bicycle. Tara, who injured her ankle in the chaos, walked behind them with the help of Theo.
Back at the engine, Jack had to remove the windshield to get Will out of the engine. When Andy joined them to help, she noticed that the engine was leaking fuel onto the street and called Captain Beckett's attention to it. He said the foam was on the engine in a compartment that had been hit in the accident, meaning he couldn't do anything more than hope the engine wouldn't catch fire. When pressed, he ordered Maya to climb the engine once Will was freed to go after the foam. Andy climbed up with her, but before they could force the compartment open, a parade of people led by some fire jugglers came down the road. Sullivan tried to stop them, but before he could, the fire juggler dropped his torch and ignited the fuel. The fire spread quickly back to the engine, forcing Maya and Andy to jump to safety. They then watched helplessly as the engine burned. Station 23, including Andy, ended up fighting the fire, but the engine was destroyed. ("Phoenix from the Flame")
Emma and Nadi Correa participated in the undies bike race, but Emma became distracted while they were riding and crashed them into Teddy and Owen's Wedding. This resulted in the death of the priest Father Christopher and Nadi sustained multiple spinal fractures. ("Here Comes the Sun")
