Radiology is the medical specialty that diagnoses and treats diseases using imaging technologies. These technologies include X-ray, ultrasound, CT, PET, and MRI. Medical practitioners of radiology are called radiologists. They interpret the image to diagnose the patient, and then transmit their findings to the treating physician or surgeon.
