An MRI
Radiology is the medical specialty that diagnoses and treats diseases using imaging technologies. These technologies include X-ray, ultrasound, CT, PET, and MRI. Medical practitioners of radiology are called radiologists. They interpret the image to diagnose the patient, and then transmit their findings to the treating physician or surgeon.
In Grey's Anatomy, radiologists do not normally operate the imaging machines. Those that perform the imaging are known as radiology technologists, otherwise known as radiology techs.
