Reggie Paulson is a patient who came to the station after a spider bite.
History[]
Reggie was working in his garage when he suddenly started feeling spasms in his whole body. He took himself to Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital, but because a protestor had driven their car through a crowd there, he was unable to get near the hospital, so he drove to Station 19 to seek help instead. There, Ben tended to him, checking his vitals and giving him oxygen. When Ben noticed Reggie wheezing, he gave him a nebulizer treatment. During this treatment, Reggie vomited and his abdomen became rigid and tender, confusing Ben. Ben then noticed a new mark on his arm and determined that Reggie had been bitten by a spider, likely a black widow. When he tried to leave to get antivenom, Reggie collapsed. Ben called for an aid car and then had Reggie keep talking to him while he went to get the antivenom. Reggie told that there was a jar of money in his garage for his wife, money he'd saved over their marriage to take her to Italy. When he asked if he would ever get to see his wife again, Ben told him he had to believe he would. Ben warned him that the antivenom could be uncomfortable, but Reggie told him nothing could be worse than how he already felt.
Once the antivenom was in, Reggie started feeling better, but Ben still sent him to the hospital to get checked out. He also told Reggie to tell his wife he loved her and about the money. He said to take her on the trip because tomorrow is never promised. ("Never Gonna Give You Up")
Reggie took Ben's advice and took his wife to Italy. After they got back, they came to the station with a souvenir for Ben and thanked him for saving Reggie's life. ("All These Things That I've Done")
