Sam is a woman who was impaled on a tree while skydiving.
History[]
Sam was skydiving, something she did often in an attempt to work up the courage to take her shot at becoming a journalist, when something went wrong with her parachute and she landed in a tree, where she was impaled on some branches. A bystander called and station 23 arrived. While they prepared to go up into the tree to help her, Sam regained consciousness and began to panic. Andy talked to her from the ground, trying to calm her. She sent Theo and Maddox up to start cutting the branches so they could get Sam out of the tree. While they worked, Maddox dropped his saw, which made Sam panic. Andy decided to go up the ladder so she could talk to Sam face-to-face. She talked to Sam until they had cut all the branches. As they loaded her onto the stretcher, she coded and Andy started compressions, which she continued as they got her to the ground and into the aid car. Despite their best efforts, Sam died.
