The sixth season of Station 19 was ordered by ABC on January 11, 2022. It consists of 18 episodes and premiered on October 6, 2022 at 8/7c.

Summary[]

The team is on hand again to save lives. But in the midst of it, they have problems and situations to face inside and outside the firehouse. Maya is obsessed with becoming captain again and struggles with declining mental health. Jack resumes his relationship with Eva, with disastrous results. Other team members face crucial decisions and choices in and outside the firehouse. Beckett steps down and prepares to go to rehab. In the season finale, the team attends the Firefighters Ball. During this gathering, Ben Warren receives an award and Andy Herrera is named the permanent captain of Station 19. Ruiz and Hughes fight about their relationship. Later on, part of the floor collapses and the team jumps into action. While they’re able to save some lives, Michael Dixon is not able to be saved and he succumbs to his injuries and dies. Later, Jack Gibson collapses due to a head injury and in the final moments of the season six finale, his crew mates rush to his aid.

Plots[]

  • After quitting his job and giving up his position to Andy, Jack is depressed because he can't accept the fact that his birth family didn't want him.
  • Due to her obsession with being captain again and considering that she was unjustly removed from her position, Maya clashes with her team and feels left out.
  • Jack resumes his relationship with Eva.
  • Travis begins his campaign to be mayor.
  • Maya and Carina continue with their fertility treatment to have a baby.
  • Maya and Carina's marriage is on the rocks.
  • Vic can't believe that her relationship with Theo is so perfect, it's unreal to her and she's afraid Theo will have an accident and she might lose him. She doesn't want to be the "widow" again.
  • Theo resents Beckett's leadership as captain.
  • Jack meets his biological sister, Brooke Hill.
  • Theo returns to his old neighborhood, where he lived when his father was alive, and it brings back memories and triggers him.
  • Theo and Vic's relationship begins to falter.
  • Beckett hits rock bottom and decides to go to rehab.
  • Travis sleeps with Eli Stern, his campaign manager who was also interested in Andy.
  • Sullivan and Ross's relationship is discovered.
  • Jack is reunited with his sister, Lila, thanks to Brooke.
  • Andy is named captain of Station 19 after Beckett steps down.
  • Jack collapses at the Firefighters Ball.
