Susan McCullough is a woman who gave birth after her husband died.
History[]
Susan was widowed early on in her pregnancy. When she reached term, she had a very specific labor and birth plan she wanted to follow because she'd be having panic attacks. She had every contingency written out and had prepared for every outcome she could think of.
They did relaxation techniques as she labored on the birthing ball. After a few hours, she started crying and said there's really no rule book for doing it on your own. Addison reminded her that she could call in one of the guys from the waiting room, Jason's co-workers who were there to support her. She said they wouldn't understand how lonely it is.
Susan moved to the birthing pool to finish her labor. She dropped the sheet with her contingencies into the water and started to panic. She said she couldn't do it and felt something was wrong. Pete and Addison tried to talk her through her panic, but she wasn't able to calm down, so Addison climbed into the birthing tub behind her and held her through her delivery.
After the baby was born, she thanked Pete for his help.
