- It depends on how we're using that box. He is qualified as an anesthesiologist, but he isn't working as an anesthesiologist except in emergent situations. I would say we should remove the former from his infobox, but in his career section, go into more detail about the circumstances. Nerdfightergirl (talk) 20:17, July 28, 2013 (UTC)
- That works, too. I think whatever we put, the career section can fill in additional information for people who want to know. I changed his infobox because he's married to a main character, but isn't one himself, so I figured that it was better that way. If you think it should be the blue one, go ahead and change it back. I just felt that when describing him in relation to the show, people would be more likely to start off with, "He's Bailey's husband," than "Oh, he's an intern at UCLA." Thoughts?
Hmm, I don't really know. Bailey got to know because he has a medical job... I think the family member infobox should only be used when the family members aren't doctors, or when they haven't been seen practicing medicine. It's good for Derek's sisters (except Amelia), as we only know they are doctors, and never really seen them practicing medicine. Tooniee (talk) 12:19, July 29, 2013 (UTC)
- This is the only (admittedly very minor) downside to having multiple infoboxes. I'll go ahead and change it back. Nerdfightergirl (talk) 13:29, July 29, 2013 (UTC)
Career Change Edit
Didn't he explicitly state in the show that he made the choice after the shooting? It's been a while since I've watched the episode, but if I recall correctly, that's his reason behind why he did it. Nerdfightergirl (talk) 15:49, January 8, 2014 (UTC)
- Maybe it took him a while to decide exactly what he wanted to do? Or maybe he didn't get accepted the first time he tried? OOU, we know that the reasoning was Jason George's availability. Nerdfightergirl (talk) 15:54, January 8, 2014 (UTC)
