Shelly and Jen[]
So, Shelly and Jen are sisters but they have two different last names on our page. Where did the last names come from? Tooniee (Page me!) 16:17, October 19, 2015 (UTC)
- One's from dialogue, I think. The other, probably IMDb. But they could have different last names. My sister and I do. If one is married or if they have different dads. Nerdfightergirl (talk) 17:31, October 19, 2015 (UTC)
Oh right. I just thought we usually asume that siblings' last names are the same, so if one is mentioned we take it for their brother/sister as well, so that's what caused the confusion. Tooniee (Page me!) 17:45, October 19, 2015 (UTC)
- We usually do unless there's a reason not to. Same with spouses' last names. I can look into it more when I get home. Does dialogue mention the sister's last name at all? I have a feeling this is one that was on the wiki before our time. Nerdfightergirl (talk) 17:49, October 19, 2015 (UTC)
It definitely was before my time, as I only joined in season 9. I checked the script/dialogue, and it says Shelley Boden. Jenn's last name is not mentioned. I believe the name Smith comes from IMDb. Tooniee (Page me!) 17:55, October 19, 2015 (UTC)
- Before mine as well. I didn't start editing until July 2012. The name Jenn Smith was added by Polemina in August 2011. But it's on many other places online. IMDb, TV.com, and a few other websites I didn't recognize have it listed as her character's name. So do you want to stick with Smith or change it to Boden?
